The Corporate Clean-Up Paddle turns a morning on Sydney Harbour into genuine team building with real, measurable impact.
Guided by our experienced kayak guides, your team paddles the calm waters of Lavender Bay, collecting rubbish from the harbour while hearing the stories behind the conservation projects you're helping fund. Fresh air, a shared mission, and a tangible difference, all before the working day really begins. It's a corporate volunteer day, a CSR initiative and a team-building activity rolled into one.
Since 2018, we've set aside $15 from every seat sold to our SBK Conservation Fund. That money has built a mangrove nursery in Berry's Bay, installed a Seabin in Darling Harbour, and created a world-first Living Seawall habitat in Lavender Bay. When your team paddles with us, you're directly backing that work, guided by our eco partners at the Sydney Institute of Marine Science.
The Impact:
Every paddle funds real conservation. $15 from each seat goes straight to local harbour projects, so your team leaves the water measurably cleaner than you found it, with the numbers to show for it.
The Team Building:
Nothing bonds a team like a shared mission on the water. No kayaking experience needed and beginners are genuinely welcome. Expect a bit of friendly competition over who fills their bucket first.
The Experience:
Stable single kayaks, professional guides at a 1:6 ratio, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House as your backdrop. We photograph the whole morning, so your team leaves with a gallery to keep.
What You Can Expect
Your eco-adventure begins at Lavender Bay boat ramp, where our friendly, experienced guides meet you (just look for the bright kayaks). After a safety briefing, life-jacket fitting and a quick paddling lesson, you'll head onto Sydney Harbour for a leisurely lap of beautiful Lavender Bay.
As you paddle, you'll hear the stories behind our conservation work and our eco partners, Ecobel Sydney and the Sydney Institute of Marine Science, and learn how the projects you're funding actually work. With the Harbour Bridge and Opera House behind you, you'll fill your buckets with rubbish and play a real part in protecting the harbour. You can see exactly where that effort goes on our SBK Funded Projects page and read our full Sustainability pledge.
Making a difference doesn't mean missing out. We take care of the details by keeping your team safe, sharing the stories, and capturing plenty of photos and video with the best of Sydney in the background, so your team takes away an album of the whole morning.
Included in your tour
Tell us about your team, your group size and the kind of day you're after, whether that's a conservation-focused team-building morning or something more tailored. Share a few preferred dates and we'll come back to you with availability and options. Every paddle helps fund our local harbour conservation work, so you're making a difference before you've even hit the water.
